I think this dog is a whippet which is closely related to the greyhound. Whippets are quiet dogs, loyal and friendly and can often be found in nursing homes or homes for the elderly. The English Kennel Club officially recognized the whippet in 1890. The American Kennel Club recognized the breed in 1888.
