I think it's time for some lovely flowers to brighten our winter day! Aren't they beautiful?

This flower is a narcissus, part of the daffodil family.
Narcissus contains the poison lycorine in it's leaves and bulbs. On May 1, 2009 school children in Suffolk, England became sick when they mistook narcissus bulbs for onions and added them to soup in their cooking class.
They are so beautiful and I thought we could all use a pick me up from our dreary wintry weather.
