American book designer Albert Angus Turbayne was born in Boston in 1866. He spent much of his life living and working in London. He won third place for book binding design at the 1900 Paris World's Fair.
He created this stunning book cover in 1896 for MacMillan's Standard Novels, Peacock Edition.
