This first image is a poster advertisement for J.M. Gidding & Co. They were an exclusive clothing and costume retailer in New York City and had stores in other cities. J.M. Gidding designed a lot of the costumes wore by actors on Broadway.
This particular poster/ad dates back to the early 1920's.
