Seahorses and Star Fish
Seahorse role reversal!
Did you know that it's the male seahorse that actually gives birth? They have what is called a brood pouch that the female seahorse deposits her eggs in and then anywhere from 9 to 45 days later fully developed seahorses emerge! Baby seahorses are called "fry".
As many as 20 million seahorses are caught each year and sold for use in Chinese medicine. Dwarf seahorses are about 1 inch in size to and the 12 inch size that are found off the coast of Central America in the Pacific Ocean.

Starfish are also known as sea stars. There are about 2,000 living species of starfish found in all of the oceans of the world.
