Free Vintage Clip Art - Vintage Weeping Willows

Vintage Weeping Willow Trees

Weeping willows are native to the dry areas of Northern China where it is cultivated for its wood.  It's also grown in the Gobi desert by farmers to protect their gardens from the desert winds.

There are over 400 species of shrubs and trees in the willow family.  Willows are known for their watery bark and leaves.  Weeping willows have always been a part of my life, growing abundantly here in the Pacific Northwest.  When you stand under one for any period of time they truly do "weep" on you!

I have chosen some varieties of willows for you today.  This first willow is the kind that is familiar to me, just called a weeping willow
